Truckstop.com launches hands-free voice assistant for load search
AVA lets drivers search loads, check rates, and call brokers without touching the phone. Included free on Advanced and Pro accounts.

What does Truckstop.com's new voice assistant actually do?
Truckstop.com rolled out AVA (Advanced Voice Assistant), a hands-free AI tool that lets drivers search the load board, check lane rates, and patch through to brokers by voice while driving. It's included at no extra cost for carriers on Load Board Advanced and Pro accounts, as well as Combo Load Board Pro and Premium tiers. The assistant runs inside the existing Truckstop Go mobile app with no separate login.
"The last thing carriers need while they're driving is the stress of not knowing their next load or a notification that takes their eyes off the road," said Jacky Zhao, head of innovation at Truckstop.com. "They have to be able to focus. That's where AVA comes in. It handles the legwork of searching for loads, checking rates and making calls so drivers can concentrate on getting freight from point A to point B, safely and on schedule."
How the voice search works in the cab
AVA operates entirely through natural voice commands. Drivers can search Truckstop's live board containing hundreds of thousands of daily listings without touching the screen. Once a target load is selected, AVA can instantly patch the driver through to the broker to secure the booking.
Drivers can ask "is this rate good?" to receive live lane analytics, load-to-truck ratios, and market conditions read aloud in plain English before making a call. The system delivers spoken, real-time responses directly inside the cab.
AVA also helps drivers find nearby diesel through AtoB and locate available truck stops through the Truck Parking Club integration.
What accounts get it and when
AVA is available immediately. It operates directly inside the existing Truckstop Go mobile app with no separate setup process required.
The assistant is included at no extra cost for carriers on Load Board Advanced and Pro accounts, as well as Combo Load Board Pro and Premium tiers. Truckstop.com has not disclosed subscription pricing for those tiers in the announcement.
Consistent with driver safety protocols, AVA acts solely as an advisory assistant. No loads are officially booked until the driver explicitly commands it.
What this means for your next load search
If you're already paying for a Truckstop Advanced or Pro account, you now have voice search at no additional monthly cost. The tool is live today in the Truckstop Go app. If you run a 1-to-3-truck fleet and spend hours each week scrolling load boards while parked, AVA lets you start that search while rolling to your next pickup. The rate-check feature gives you live lane data spoken aloud before you call the broker, which can save a wasted call on a lane that's already soft.
For owner-operators who don't currently subscribe to Truckstop's paid tiers, the value calculation depends on how much time you lose to manual load searches each week and whether the voice interface justifies the subscription cost. Truckstop.com has not published a breakeven analysis for fleets under 5 trucks.
