Fleetworthy embeds Lytx video into Safety+ to cut coaching time

Fleet managers can now review dashcam snapshots and driver behavior data in one screen instead of toggling between platforms during coaching sessions.

What does the Fleetworthy-Lytx integration actually do for a small fleet?

Fleetworthy now displays Lytx video snapshots directly inside its Safety+ platform, so fleet managers can review dashcam footage and driver behavior data in a single workflow instead of switching between systems during coaching sessions.

The integration aligns video snapshots with the exact time a safety event occurred, providing additional context about road conditions and driver actions, according to Fleetworthy.

"Fleet safety depends on having the full picture, and until now that meant jumping between systems during critical coaching moments," said Martin Murtland, vice president of product at Fleetworthy. "By embedding Lytx video snapshots directly inside Safety+, fleets can review events faster, coach with greater confidence, and make better-informed safety decisions."

Why this matters for owner-operators and small fleets

For fleets already running both Fleetworthy Safety+ and Lytx dashcams, the integration eliminates the time cost of logging into two separate platforms to match a hard-braking event to the video that shows what actually happened on the road. That time savings compounds when you're coaching multiple drivers each week.

The integration does not change the subscription cost of either platform. Fleets pay for Fleetworthy Safety+ and Lytx separately. (Neither company disclosed pricing in the announcement, and costs vary by fleet size and contract terms. For context, telematics and video platforms for small fleets typically run $20 to $50 per truck per month depending on features and data storage.)

What the integration includes

Fleetworthy said the integration provides visual evidence and driver behavior data in a single workflow. The video snapshots appear alongside the safety event record, time-stamped to match the moment the event occurred.

That means a fleet manager reviewing a hard-braking alert can see the dashcam frame showing whether the driver braked for a car that cut them off or braked late approaching a red light, without opening a second browser tab or app.

The announcement did not specify whether the integration supports full video playback or only static snapshots, or how many seconds of footage appear in the Safety+ interface.

What this means for your next driver coaching session

If you run both platforms today, the integration is live. You don't need to request access or pay an integration fee, based on the announcement.

If you run Lytx but not Fleetworthy, or Fleetworthy but not Lytx, the integration won't help you unless you add the second platform. The time savings only apply when you're already paying for both.

For fleets shopping for a combined safety and video solution, this integration puts Fleetworthy and Lytx on the shortlist alongside other paired platforms. Compare the monthly cost of running both against all-in-one safety platforms that bundle video, telematics, and coaching in a single subscription.
