FleetOwner announced a product spotlight series covering oils and lubricants available to fleets in 2026, with the publication adding links to individual product profiles over the next several weeks.

What products will the series cover?

The series will feature oils and lubes that help fleets improve efficiency and keep engines running. FleetOwner did not specify which brands, viscosity grades, or product categories will be included in the coverage.

The publication is posting product options incrementally and updating a central landing page with links as each profile goes live. No timeline was given for how many products will be featured or when the series will conclude.

Why this matters for small fleets

Oil and lube choices directly affect drain intervals, fuel economy, and whether an engine makes it to overhaul mileage. A 10-truck fleet running 120,000 miles per year per tractor can see a $400-per-truck annual difference in oil costs alone between a 15,000-mile synthetic and a 25,000-mile extended-drain product, not counting the labor saved by fewer changes.

Product spotlights that include viscosity specs, API/ACEA certifications, OEM approvals, and real-world drain-interval data help shop supervisors compare options without relying solely on distributor claims. Whether FleetOwner's series will include that level of detail remains to be seen as individual profiles are published.

Fleets looking to evaluate new lubricants for 2026 spec orders or maintenance contract renewals should check the series page periodically as coverage builds out.
